FIRST Robotics Competition
In 2012, while teaching is Cassopolis, MI, I had the opportunity to start a FIRST Robotics Competition team. I recruited the help of a local engineer, a machinist, and a small group of about 15 students. I continued to be the lead mentor of the Cassopolis RoboRangers (FRC# 4325) until 2015. During that time, the average number of student members grew to about 30 students per year and we worked with a team 8 adult volunteers. Together, we won several awards and qualified for the state championship twice.
Since my departure, the RoboRangers have continue to improve and grow. They have since qualified for the world championship. I look forward to watching the compete every year.
